Kantha
This design is composed of intricate kantha stitch that manipulates fabric to alter material properties, this sits beside trapunto quilting and distorted plastic. It was interesting learning the two different techniques; kantha originating is Eastern South Asia and trapunto an Italian quilting technique, and applying them to one design.
Unconventional Ceramics
I thoroughly enjoyed delicately encasing and trapping fabrics alongside ceramics in organza to explore fabric concepts.
Stone Suffolk Puffs
